11 Creative Ways To Document Your Child’s Biggest Milestones

  • March 7, 2019

Kids grow up fast – everyone tells you that as soon as you have a baby but you don’t really appreciate how quickly they grow until a few years have whizzed by in a blur. I’ll have an 8-year-old in a couple of months and sometimes it still only feels like 5 minutes ago that I had a newborn baby in my arms. Crying. A lot. Documenting each milestone is >>

Put Your Instagram Photos In A Printrbook

  • February 27, 2017

What do you do with your photos? Do you print them off, stick on social media, or just save them to your laptop? I do a mixture with mine. Some I don’t do anything with, some I’ll print off for frames, and my favourite photos I share on Instagram. I recently discovered Printrbook, and had great fun making a little photo book out of my Instagram photos. Read on to >>

Finding Gruffalos And Squelching In Mud

  • January 23, 2017

I don’t know about you, but it’s been a long time since the last payday and we’re a little bit broke! We’ve been trying to find things to do at the weekends that don’t cost an arm and a leg, so this weekend we drove out to the New Forest. The New Forest is massive (571 km² – I Googled it) and we’ve probably only explored a fraction of it. A resolution >>

My Sunday Photo – A Chilly Winter Walk

  • January 15, 2017

I haven’t joined up with the #MySundayPhoto linky for a while so thought I would today. The photo I’m linking up with was taken yesterday afternoon at Upton Country Park in Poole. We had a day with no plans which is very rare. Like many people at this time of year we’re trying not to spend much money so decided just to get out in the fresh air and go >>

Sunset at Sandbanks – My Sunday Photo

  • July 24, 2016

I haven’t joined My Sunday Photo for ages, so I thought I’d link up with this photo of Sandbanks from earlier this week. On Tuesday we grabbed some fish & chips after work and took them down the beach. It was still lovely and hot, and Little H had a nice paddle in the sea. On our way back we wandered over to Poole Harbour where the sun was starting >>

On A Fairy Hunt At Furzey Gardens

  • May 4, 2016
Furzey Gardens

This bank holiday weekend the rain (and snow!) stopped and the sun came out briefly, so we made the most of it and headed for Furzey Gardens in the New Forest, a place we’ve been meaning to visit for a while. Furzey Gardens is a beautiful and peaceful setting, a great place for exploring and letting the kids run free and get some fresh air. There’s lots to find here, fantastic play >>

Fairy Hunt At Furzey Gardens – MySundayPhoto

  • May 1, 2016

We went to an amazing place today called Furzey Gardens, looking for fairy doors. The gardens are a brilliant place for children to run around and explore, and a bit of a photographer’s dream with all of the beautiful coloured flowers and scenery. I’ll write up a proper post next week with more information and photos on our visit, but for now here’s one of my favourite photos of the >>

10 Free Websites To Source Images For Your Blog

  • April 26, 2016

I don’t know about you but I spend more time trying to find decent images for some of my blog posts than actually writing the articles in the first place! I try to use my own photos where I can, but for some subjects, it’s just not possible. You need to be very careful when sourcing images to use on your own website. Taking photos from other people’s sites (and even >>

We’re going on a bug hunt

  • April 24, 2016

Every so often Little H’s school sends home a “Home learning challenge” to complete over the weekend. This week we had to go and look for mini-beasts, so we headed down to the woods to do some exploring. Bug Hunting Little H had great fun lifting up logs and rocks with Daddy and finding bugs – while I stood a safe distance away! It was nice to see her getting >>
