MySundayPhoto – Hengistbury Head

  • April 3, 2016

It looks like spring is finally here – the weather yesterday was beautiful sunshine and blue skies! My parents were looking after my 2 nieces for the day so we met up with them down at Hengistbury Head for  a little stroll and some fresh air. Hengistbury Head is an amazing place to visit, a bit of land jutting out into the sea between Christchurch and Mudeford so you’re surrounded >>

My Sunday Photo – Lulworth Castle

  • March 27, 2016

On Good Friday we went to Lulworth Castle to take part in an Easter Egg Hunt. Unfortunately the hunt was a bit rubbish as it was a hunt for these teeny round discs which our 4 year old wasn’t particularly interested in! It was a lovely bright and sunny day though, and the castle and grounds are a great place to explore. As well as the castle there a church >>

Picture Perfect – Lulworth Cove

  • March 13, 2016

This weekend the weather was lovely, spring is definitely on it’s way! Today was the warmest day of the year so far, the sun was shining and the sky was blue, so we headed down to Lulworth Cove. Lulworth Cove is in one of the most beautiful areas in Dorset, on the Jurassic Coast about 20 miles outside of Poole. It’s a pebble beach so not the most comfortable to sit >>

No Snow In Poole!

  • March 6, 2016

Unlike the rest of the country we’ve had no snow in Poole this week, we very rarely get any snow down here on the South Coast. It doesn’t mean it’s been warm though. Yesterday we went for a walk down at Sandbanks beach – with the bright sunshine and blue sky it looks like a lovely summer’s day but it was really, really windy and absolutely freezing. We certainly got our >>

London Baby! – My Sunday Photo

  • February 21, 2016

This weekend we went to London (child free!) to go on a tour of Stamford Bridge, which was one of my Husband’s Christmas presents. I’m not really a football fan so was much more interested in going for a wander around London, seeing a few sights and doing a bit of shopping! I was also looking forward to taking some photos with my new camera but unfortunately the weather was >>

Happy Blue Beach Huts at Avon Beach

  • January 31, 2016

I’ve been interested in photography for years, since I dabbled a bit as part of my Graphic Design degree, and have finally bought myself a DLSR camera. After a lot of research I went for a Nikon D3300 and am looking forward to learning how to use it! This weekend we went to Mudeford for a spot of lunch and a stroll down the beach, so of course I took >>

Exploring our doorstep – Knoll Beach

  • January 17, 2016

As I’ve mentioned before we feel very lucky to live where we do, in beautiful Dorset. We live in Poole which is the perfect location to visit the New Forest and the Purbecks as well as Bournemouth & Christchurch. Best known for its miles of sandy beaches we have plenty of places to choose from when getting out and about at the weekends, and even better it’s free! One of >>

A Beach Walk – My Sunday Photo

  • January 10, 2016

After a week dodging the rain we were desperate to get out this weekend for some fresh air. The weather forecast was for showers today and it looked very grey in the direction of the beach this morning but we braved a walk along the beach anyway and headed down to Alum Chine in Poole. We managed to avoid the rain, though it was cold and quite overcast. The sun was >>

Blowing away the cobwebs at Moors Valley – My Sunday Photo

  • January 3, 2016

I don’t know about anyone else, but after Christmas we definitely had a bit of cabin fever and needed a bit of fresh air. The weather had been awful, LOTS of rain & wind, but on Wednesday it was dry so we wrapped up warm, put our wellies on and headed to Moors Valley Country Park. Like most 4 year olds, ours loves any opportunity to get muddy and really enjoyed >>
