Sunset at Sandbanks – My Sunday Photo

  • July 24, 2016

I haven’t joined My Sunday Photo for ages, so I thought I’d link up with this photo of Sandbanks from earlier this week. On Tuesday we grabbed some fish & chips after work and took them down the beach. It was still lovely and hot, and Little H had a nice paddle in the sea. On our way back we wandered over to Poole Harbour where the sun was starting >>

Fairy Hunt At Furzey Gardens – MySundayPhoto

  • May 1, 2016

We went to an amazing place today called Furzey Gardens, looking for fairy doors. The gardens are a brilliant place for children to run around and explore, and a bit of a photographer’s dream with all of the beautiful coloured flowers and scenery. I’ll write up a proper post next week with more information and photos on our visit, but for now here’s one of my favourite photos of the >>

We’re going on a bug hunt

  • April 24, 2016

Every so often Little H’s school sends home a “Home learning challenge” to complete over the weekend. This week we had to go and look for mini-beasts, so we headed down to the woods to do some exploring. Bug Hunting Little H had great fun lifting up logs and rocks with Daddy and finding bugs – while I stood a safe distance away! It was nice to see her getting >>

MySundayPhoto – Hengistbury Head

  • April 3, 2016

It looks like spring is finally here – the weather yesterday was beautiful sunshine and blue skies! My parents were looking after my 2 nieces for the day so we met up with them down at Hengistbury Head for  a little stroll and some fresh air. Hengistbury Head is an amazing place to visit, a bit of land jutting out into the sea between Christchurch and Mudeford so you’re surrounded >>

My Sunday Photo – Lulworth Castle

  • March 27, 2016

On Good Friday we went to Lulworth Castle to take part in an Easter Egg Hunt. Unfortunately the hunt was a bit rubbish as it was a hunt for these teeny round discs which our 4 year old wasn’t particularly interested in! It was a lovely bright and sunny day though, and the castle and grounds are a great place to explore. As well as the castle there a church >>

Picture Perfect – Lulworth Cove

  • March 13, 2016

This weekend the weather was lovely, spring is definitely on it’s way! Today was the warmest day of the year so far, the sun was shining and the sky was blue, so we headed down to Lulworth Cove. Lulworth Cove is in one of the most beautiful areas in Dorset, on the Jurassic Coast about 20 miles outside of Poole. It’s a pebble beach so not the most comfortable to sit >>

No Snow In Poole!

  • March 6, 2016

Unlike the rest of the country we’ve had no snow in Poole this week, we very rarely get any snow down here on the South Coast. It doesn’t mean it’s been warm though. Yesterday we went for a walk down at Sandbanks beach – with the bright sunshine and blue sky it looks like a lovely summer’s day but it was really, really windy and absolutely freezing. We certainly got our >>

London Baby! – My Sunday Photo

  • February 21, 2016

This weekend we went to London (child free!) to go on a tour of Stamford Bridge, which was one of my Husband’s Christmas presents. I’m not really a football fan so was much more interested in going for a wander around London, seeing a few sights and doing a bit of shopping! I was also looking forward to taking some photos with my new camera but unfortunately the weather was >>

Exploring our doorstep – Upton Country Park

  • February 7, 2016

After a windy, wet and miserable Saturday we were very pleased to wake up to blue skies this morning. We weren’t in the mood to venture too far today so we headed 5 minutes down the road to Upton Country Park. We go there a lot in the summer as they have loads of space for picnics plus a water fountain that all the kids love running through. We haven’t been >>

Happy Blue Beach Huts at Avon Beach

  • January 31, 2016

I’ve been interested in photography for years, since I dabbled a bit as part of my Graphic Design degree, and have finally bought myself a DLSR camera. After a lot of research I went for a Nikon D3300 and am looking forward to learning how to use it! This weekend we went to Mudeford for a spot of lunch and a stroll down the beach, so of course I took >>
