Fun Family Day Out At Terra Mítica in Benidorm

  • July 29, 2019

Since moving to Spain in May we’ve had some great days out on the Costa Blanca and have enjoyed going to places we’ve never visited before. My parents were over for 3 weeks recently and they treated us to a day out at Terra Mítica in Benidorm. Terra Mítica is a theme park based on the ancient civilisations and histories of the Greeks, Egyptians and Romans. There are rides for >>

A Day Out At Rīo Safari Park, Elche

  • June 26, 2019

It’s been a while since I wrote a day out post so thought I’d do my first Spanish family day out! I’ll be writing a lot of posts about things to do on the Costa Blanca with children as we explore more, so if you are planning a holiday to this area of Spain keep an eye out for my suggestions of things to do with kids in Alicante and >>

Exploring Compton Acres Gardens

  • February 21, 2019
Compton Acres

One of my favourite things about being a parent is sharing things from my own childhood with Little H, whether it’s toys, photos or visits to places we used to go as kids. So when we were invited to visit Compton Acres gardens in Poole I thought it’d be a great chance to show Little H somewhere I used to like exploring when I was little. I think the last >>

35 Great Days Out With Kids In The South Of England

  • January 29, 2019
35 days out in the South

With half term coming up, and the weather (hopefully!) getting nicer soon, you might be planning some family days out. I might be biased but I think the South Coast is the best place to live in the UK and there are lots of great family-friendly attractions to choose from in the South of England, and in my 7 years of parenting, we have visited a lot of them! I >>

A History Lesson at The Mary Rose, Portsmouth

  • January 22, 2019
Mary Rose Portsmouth

Last weekend we decided to get out of Dorset and visit somewhere new. It was absolutely freezing so we didn’t want to spend too much time outside and decided to visit The Mary Rose in Portsmouth. You’ve probably heard of The Mary Rose, one of Henry VIII’s warships, but maybe like me, you don’t really know much more about it than that. If that’s the case, and you are near Portsmouth, >>

The Abandoned Dorset Village of Tyneham

  • January 17, 2019

We have visited Tyneham Village near Lulworth in Dorset a couple of time but I’m aware that not many people have heard of it. It has a really interesting story, so if you’re in the area (or even if you’re local) and are looking for things to do in Dorset, it’s definitely somewhere to add to your must-visit list. Take a look at our photos and find out a bit >>

Meeting Father Christmas at Weymouth SEA LIFE Adventure Park

This weekend was out first Christmassy event of the year – we were invited to be one of the first to visit Father Christmas at Weymouth SEA LIFE Adventure Park. We have been to the SEA LIFE Adventure Park before and had a great time, so thought we’d head down there early to spend some time looking around first. The weather was miserable, but luckily the rain mostly held off as a >>

What we did in November

  • December 1, 2018

Well here we are in December – how did that happen? I’m sure 5 minutes ago we were enjoying that amazing summer?! It’s nearly Christmas, though it’ll still be a few weeks before I get in the Christmas spirit. We have a few fun things planned for December though so I’m sure I’ll be feeling festive very soon. I can’t really remember what we did in November, it felt like >>

After School Fun At Mighty Claws Adventure Golf

After School Fun At Mighty Claws Adventure Golf

We recently visited Mighty Claws Adventure Golf in Bournemouth for some mini golfing fun and delicious pizzas and milkshakes. Having been before when it first opened, we were excited to visit again. I find it can be hard to fit fun activities in during the week because you’re so busy with work and school – we end up trying to pack everything into our weekends. Mighty Claws is open until 9:30 >>

Petlake Alpacas of the New Forest

Last weekend we found a gem in the New Forest – I can’t believe we didn’t know about it before! Little H suddenly has a thing for llamas and alpacas. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen our llama haul from Flying Tiger – we only went in for a backpack!
