Well, it’s officially Autumn. Soon it’ll be time for Halloween and Bonfire night, two of the few good things about Autumn if you ask me!
I do like the colours of Autumn though and we went out at the weekend to collect some leaves. We were also looking for conkers but didn’t find any.
After our walk, we had a big pile of leaves and I headed to Pinterest to think of some things to do with them. Here are 3 easy Autumn crafts that we came up with, so easy you can pretty much just leave the kids to do them on their own (that’s why ours don’t look like your usual perfect Pinterest-worthy crafts!)
Leaf Pictures
The first thing we did was to make some leaf pictures. I drew a tree trunk and Little H stuck the leaves on.
She then wanted a go at making a leaf lion and drew its little face herself. Very easy to do.
Leaf Sun Catcher
Another easy Autumn craft is to make a leaf sun catcher. We cut the middle out of a paper plate and stuck some white tissue paper over the hole. Lastly, we stuck some leaves on top of the tissue paper and taped a bit of string to hang the sun catcher from.
Leaf Lantern
Lastly, we made a leaf lantern. To begin with we tried sticking the leaves straight onto the jar but it didn’t really work, so we covered the jar in white tissue paper. Then we stuck the leaves onto the paper which was much easier. Stick a tea light inside and there you have a leaf lantern.
See, I did say they were really easy Autumn crafts!
Are you looking forward to Autumn?

Oh these are awesome and I think we are definitely going to try the leaf sun catcher idea.
