Things To Do Before You’re 6 – recap

  • May 22, 2017

Last year Little H wrote a list of things she wanted to do before she turned 6. It was her 6th birthday last week, so did she manage to do it all?

Ride a bike without stabilisers

Erm…no. This has not gone well! We bought Little H a new bike for Christmas which she loved – until we took the stabilisers off. We’ve tried a few times and it’s ended in tears so we’ve stopped for now. I think we might have to let Grandad have a go!

Swim without armbands

We started swimming lessons in January and Little H has come on so well. No armbands and my little scaredy cat is jumping in the pool without any worries. Good job really with the price of swimming lessons!

Tell the time

We’ve mastered the o’clocks and half pasts, and occasionally we get the quarter pasts. She’s a whizz at digital time though  – “six dot dot zero five” !

Tie Your Shoe Laces

Another one I tried once and then never again. It was too stressful. Little H only has one pair of shoes with laces so it’s not like she won’t be able to put her shoes on!

Do A Cartwheel

She did it! Practising definitely pays off, Little H does cartwheels whenever possible and she’s pretty good at them now. I have a lot of cartwheeling photos on my phone…

I don’t think 2.5 out of 5 is too bad – half way! I wonder what will be on her list to do before she’s 7…

This is such a sweet idea! I might get my eldest to make something like this on his 5th birthday in November, it’ll be interesting to look back on after a year! x #fortheloveofblog

It’s so good to look back on theses things. I always find that I make these sorts of lists and never look back on them! Thanks for linking up with #forhteloveofBLOG x
