I feel like I only did my January round-up the other day but here we are in March already!
I’m really hoping that Spring is just around the corner, I’m a bit fed up of this rubbish weather now.
We’ve had a fairly relaxed February but still managed to get out and about a few weekends. Here’s our February round-up…
I’ve been trying to find things to do after school to stop Little H spending all afternoon on the tablet! It’ll be easier once the weather improves as we can go to the park after school, but when it’s so cold we just want to be in the warm. We went to Hobbycraft and bought lots of things to do some Valentines crafts. I don’t really mind the mess too much as it keeps Little H entertained for ages!
We also did some science experiments from a book I bought online. these were good fun and of course you feel chuffed when you’ve managed to get them to do something educational!
One afternoon after school we made some cakes – only packet mix as I am not at all good at baking, but they turned out well.
I had a fantastic product from Wet Wednesdays to review so we headed to Upton Country Park to try it out. Little H had a blast getting as muddy as possible. It started to snow a bit while we were there but it didn’t settle. It was a good excuse to warm up with a hot chocolate in the cafe though.
We met my parents, brother, sister-in-law and nieces for a walk in the New Forest and a lovely pub lunch. It’s always nice for Little H to have her cousins to play with and they get on so well. They had fun running wild and meeting some New Forest ponies.
This month I celebrated 10 years in my job which I can’t quite believe. More than anything it makes me feel very old! I got bought some lovely flowers which are still going strong.
The mother-in-law came down for the weekend but we didn’t get to do much as the weather was terrible. We attempted a walk down the beach but it was son windy that we just had lunch in the pub instead! Little H really enjoyed her amazing chocolate dessert and said it was her “favourite thing ever”.
I hope you all had a good month, did you get up to anything fun?
We have a couple of exciting things planned in March so I look forward to telling you about them next month.
