I should really have done this last week, but better late than never and all that.
I’ve been advised to write more blog posts about our life. I’ve purposely avoided too many of these as I don’t think many people will be interested in our day to day life, it’s really not that exciting! But I try to take all advice on board so will make an effort to share with you some more bits & pieces from our lives. To start this off I thought I’d do a monthly round-up of what we got up to, as I’ve seen a few other bloggers do this.
June wasn’t as busy as normal for us, we’ve been trying not to spend too much money before we go on holiday at the end of July so we just had a few little local day trips and spent some weekends relaxing at home which we don’t do very often.
So here’s our June round-up…
June Round-up
There were a couple of nice weekends (no really, there were!) and we managed to have BBQs in our fab new garden. It really makes such a difference having a nice, tidy place to relax after work and at the weekend – definitely a good decision.
Little H got her first gymnastics badge which she was really pleased with. I’m also impressed that she’s stuck with it for long enough to get a badge – 4 months so far. She’s already asking when she’ll do her next one which is a good sign!
We had a few nice days out at the weekends – it seems like the weather’s been rubbish so far this summer but Little H has shorts on in quite a few of my photos so it can’t have been too bad. We took her scooter down to the beach and she used her new Vtech Action Cam to record some video while she scooted along the promenade. We also went to Moors Valley Country Park for a picnic, a play in the park and a walk around the lake.
The Bournemouth Wheels Festival was held at Bournemouth beach again and we headed down for the first time. I’m not a big car fan at all but it was good fun, Little H loved the monster trucks on the beach, the fairground rides, and of course the ice cream!
Father’s Day weekend was great fun, we went to Longdown Dairy Farm on the Saturday with my parents, and my brother and his family. The kids loved holding the baby animals, feeding the goats and pigs, and having a pony ride. On the Sunday the 3 of us went out for Brunch followed by a bit of a lazy afternoon at home watching movies.
June was quite a quiet month really to start my blog round-up posts with, but the next couple of months will be much more interesting I promise so just ‘watch this space’!
What did you get up to in June?
