Whilst looking for inspirational quotes from female celebrities for a client I came across a couple of great quotes on parenting from celeb mums.
At a certain point, you go from admiring a celebrity because of their looks or wardrobe to admiring them for their parenting skills and beliefs.
It’s also always nice to hear that other mums (even famous ones!) have the same views or struggles with parenting as you, especially if you’ve had a bit of a tough day.
Here are my favourite inspirational quotes on parenting from famous mums…
“It wasn’t so long ago that I was a working mom myself. And I know that sometimes, much as we all hate to admit it, it’s just easier to park the kids in front of the TV for a few hours so we can pay the bills or do the laundry or just have some peace and quiet for a change.”
“I think every working mom probably feels the same thing: You go through big chunks of time where you’re just thinking, ‘This is impossible—oh, this is impossible.’ And then you just keep going and keep going, and you sort of do the impossible.”
“Of course, nobody does everything right, but as long as your baby is the priority, that’s the best you can do.”
“You have the highest highs and yet you’re facing the biggest fear of, “How do I keep someone alive?”
(On losing her baby weight) “Having just had a baby, I’m not going to be thinking about my arse.”
“You know…once you have kids you never ever pee by yourself again? At least one of them is always in there with you at all times”
Hopefully at least one of these inspirational quotes makes you feel a bit more normal – I mean, if the First Lady plonked her kids in front of the TV then it’s ok right?!
