I have a bit of a thing about taking photos of beach huts, which is easy to do when you live on the coast! I’ve wanted to turn one of my photos into a canvas for a while but just haven’t got around to it. So when Photowall invited me to review a canvas I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.
Photowall have a wide range of wall murals and canvas prints on offer. There are lots of different categories from pictures for childrens’ bedrooms to flowers, abstract, landscapes and lots more.
If you want to use a photo of your own you can upload photos for both the wall murals and the canvas prints. When you upload the image you can select different sizes to see how the photo would be cropped. The website also generates the price on the screen depending on the sizes selected. I found this really easy to use and didn’t have to worry about cropping the photo myself.
The canvas arrived within a few days, even though it was just before Christmas. It comes with a do-it-yourself frame which I was a bit worried about at first but it’s actually very easy to put together. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, it has all the fixings and no tools are needed. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together.
The quality of the print was good, especially as the photo was blown up to a 40cm x 40cm canvas. Though I think I could have got away with going a bit bigger!
I’ve put it on quite a big wall we have up the stairs and think it looks great. It’s good quality and the frame is very sturdy compared to a shop bought one we have in another room.
