Our November Round-Up

I know when you have a baby everyone tells you that the years go by so quickly, but seriously this is mad!

I can’t believe today’s the 1st of December.

November went by in a bit of a blur for some reason. As always we were busy at the weekends, and I forgot just how much we did until I looked back through my photos.

Our November Round-Up

November obviously started with Guy Fawkes Night. We went to the same place that we did last year, a country pub called the Alice Lisle out past Ringwood. They do a great BBQ, live music and an amazing fireworks display.

The next day the husband had to work so Little H and I went to the cinema to see Trolls. We both loved it, and would definitely recommend it. Even if you do get all of the cheesy pop songs stuck in your head!

It started to get a bit chilly to go anywhere after school so one afternoon we made cakes. We don’t do it often as I’m pretty rubbish at baking but Little H loved it – mostly licking the chocolate off the spoon.

On the Remembrance Weekend we headed into Christchurch to make a poppy at Saxon Square. The children made one poppy to keep and one to stick to the wreath that was being displayed in the square. I thought this was a lovely idea to get children involved and learning what ‘Poppy Day’ actually means. Afterward we went for a walk and had some yummy cake and hot chocolate in our favourite cafe.

We go to the beach more in the winter than in the summer, so if there’s a nice sunny day at the weekend that’s most likely where you will find us! We went to Sandbanks, there’s a good park that Little H likes to play in, she sat in the giant deckchair, and then we went for a walk along the beach to collect shells.

This last weekend we headed into Bournemouth town centre as Little H was dying to see the Nutcracker Trail – there are 20 six foot tall Nutcracker dolls dotted around town. We found 3, had some lunch, and went for a walk down Bournemouth pier just as the sun was starting to go down.

We’ve had another great month, and some lovely family fun at the weekends. It’s the only thing that gets me through the working week sometimes!

It’s a bit scary thinking that my next monthly round-up will be posted in the first few days of January 2017.

Hope you have all had a good month too, what have you been up to?

THat sounds like a pretty busy November to me! I love the sound of the nutcracker trail – how cute is that? And I love a beach in winter too – it’s lovely to feel like you’re the only people there. I hope you have a fabulously festive December! Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove

It all passes in such a blur when you have kids. I cant believe that 2016 is nearly over, or that the twins start school in September – eek! #SharingtheBlogLove
