Pre-kids – when I used to have a lot more time and money – I used to get my hair cut every 6 weeks. More recently though I’m lucky if I manage to get my hair done once a year.
My hair is the bane of my life – it’s too thick and too frizzy, and quite honestly drives me mad most of the time. So when I was recently invited by Francesco Group to have a complimentary cut and blow dry at their Bournemouth salon I was very excited to let someone else sort it out for me!
I work about 5 minutes away from the salon and as Little H was spending the whole day with her grandparents last week I booked myself in for a haircut.
The salon is very modern, clean and much bigger than it looks from the outside. All the staff were really nice and friendly, and there was none of that usual hair dresser small talk!
My hair was done by Rufus, and he did a great job. I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but I usually find that hairdresser’s half listen to you telling them what you want done with your hair and then go and do something completely different. Rufus actually listened to find out what problems I have with my hair and what I would like done to sort it out.
I had a hair mask treatment to put a bit of moisture back into my very dry hair, and several washes later it still feels very soft and shiny. I’m not very brave when it comes to new styles, I just wanted the horrible split ends cut out and the whole lot thinned out a bit – I’m still amazed at how much lighter my head feels! This was the first hair cut in a long time where I didn’t have to re-do the style again when I got home which is a 5 star review in itself!
The salon is bright and modern, and everyone was really friendly. I was given some shampoo, conditioner and hair mask samples to take home with me which will hopefully keep my hair nice and shiny for a while longer.
