MySundayPhoto – Hengistbury Head

It looks like spring is finally here – the weather yesterday was beautiful sunshine and blue skies!

My parents were looking after my 2 nieces for the day so we met up with them down at Hengistbury Head for  a little stroll and some fresh air.

Hengistbury Head is an amazing place to visit, a bit of land jutting out into the sea between Christchurch and Mudeford so you’re surrounded by the sea and fantastic views.

If you’ve ever seen those beach huts on Rightmove for around the same price as a decent sized family home, then this is usually where they can be found.

As you’ll know if you’ve read some of my blog posts before I love taking photos of the seaside, especially beach huts for some reason. I just think that with the colours and the background you can’t get a bad picture! I’m still getting to grips with using my flashy Nikon camera so an easy subject is very welcome.

Yesterday didn’t disappoint, and I got some fab shots of the beach and the beach huts, as well as of the kids.

This was my favourite shot of the scenery and the one I’ve chosen to be this week’s MySundayPhoto. I love the bright, happy looking beach huts and the sunshine and blue sky. I hardly needed to add any filters at all to the photo as the lighting was so perfect.

Hope you’ve all had a good weekend and the sun has been shining wherever you are.
