Toucan Box – Our Review

My 4 year old loves anything crafty, and we enjoy making things with her. However, having the time to think of things to make as well as time to go and buy the supplies is another matter so when I saw a code for a free Toucan Box I snapped it up.

Toucan will either send you a small box every fortnight (£4.93) or a larger box every month (from £12.90). Each box contains everything you need to complete and educational activities.

Read on to see what we thought of the box and for a voucher to receive your own free box.

These kids’ craft boxes are well packaged, eye catching and come with your child’s name on the front – ours was opened before I even knew it had come through the letter box!

The ‘Petite’ box contains 1 activity, though this one had 2 parts to it so we really ended up with 2 activities anyway.

The instructions are nice and clear, and both activities are easy for kids to make without needing too much help. Our box was Pirate themed and the first part was to make a treasure map using the contents included, which were a piece of paper, stickers, a paintbrush and even a tea bag to make the tea to stain the paper. Little H liked making the paper “look really old” and followed the instructions easily.

The second activity was to make a parrot using the parrot cut-out, crayons, feathers, googly eyes and glue. Little H really enjoyed this one and made a great double sided parrot as we had lots of feathers left over after finishing one side.

We thought our Toucan Box was excellent and definitely great value for the price. Little H enjoyed the activities and asked when we’re getting our next box! I thought the contents were really good quality and I liked the fact that we could just get going without hunting for any additional supplies – very important when you have an impatient child.

I would definitely recommend busy mums trying one of these boxes. These are perfect activities for after school or a rainy weekend, and we are eagerly awaiting our next box!

If you’d like to try a Toucan box you can get a free one here and don’t forget to let us know what you thought of it.

Look out for our blog post next week where we’ll be reviewing a Weekend Box.

Wow! That looks like a fab idea… I’m not a crafty mum, I always run out of ideas when we’re stuck in the house, this one I think is the best solution at this times… Lovely photos and Great review! #brillblogposts

Great review hun. Sounds ace. You might want to link up your direct url to this instead of having others click on wordpress blog as many won’t take the time to see you have moved and click all the way through to comment. I wouldn’t want you not to get comments from linking up darling. Glad to see you went self hosted. Do you love it? Thank you so much for linking up to Share With Me #sharewithme.

Thanks Jenny! I linked up and then moved the blog, wasn’t sure how to go about editing the links I’d already put on people’s blogs?! Would I need to link this blog next time instead?
